About The Role

Gunnedah Basin Haulage is a fully owned subsidiary of Whitehaven Coal and we currently have current permanent vacancies for truck drivers to join our crew. You will be hauling coal to and from our Tarrawonga mine and our Coal Handling and Processing Plant (CHPP) in Gunnedah, a distance of approx. 40kms. We require MC Drivers to join our operation just outside of Gunnedah. These are residential positions, working rotating morning and afternoon from Monday to Friday with the requirement to work every second Saturday.

What You’ll Do

- Demonstrate commitment to our goal of Zero Harm to both personnel and equipment
- Operation of Scania A Double side tippers
- Completion of daily paperwork
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and organisational culture
- Hauling coal from Vickery

What You’ll Bring

- Live locally or within a 1-hour commute to site




- Ability to work 8 hour day and afternoon shifts (overtime available as required)
- Experience working on mine sites e.g. iron ore / coal would be advantageous but not essential – all training provided.
- Experience with side or rear tipping preferred.
- A current MC Driver’s License and be able to provide an RMS driving record
