The pub offers a welcoming dining and entertainment experience, with a menu featuring hearty meals, bar snacks, and dishes showcasing local Victorian produce. The venue also offers house-made beers, local wines, cocktails, and a large outdoor beer garden.

Aireys Pub operates 7 days a week and caters to regular dining customers, live music events, functions, celebrations, corporate events, and weddings. Its function facilities include a large outdoor beer garden, marquee, and multiple indoor spaces.

Given the venue's daily food service, diverse menu, functions and events, there is an ongoing need for skilled Chefs to support consistent food preparation, quality, presentation, and timely service.

Salary: $78,000 - $83,000 AUD

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare, cook, and present a variety of dishes according to recipes and quality standards.
2.



Ensure the quality, taste, presentation, and consistency of all food prepared.
3. Plan and organise daily food preparation and kitchen production.
4. Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness.
5. Monitor ingredient stocks, assist with ordering, and minimise food waste.
6. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
7. Work effectively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
8. Assist with menu development and contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal offerings.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Relevant qualification is required
2. Minimum of two 2 years’ relevant experience in a commercial kitchen environment
3. Solid knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen operations, and quality control
4. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment while maintaining quality standards
5. Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
