Our client is a respected community services provider with a long-standing history and an excellent reputation. With a diverse service offering, they rely heavily on their high-performing finance team to deliver insightful analysis and meaningful reporting.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to hone your craft and add real value in a sector that is continually evolving—both in response to regulatory change and the needs of the community. From a finance perspective, this means constant learning, fresh challenges, and the chance to deepen your technical expertise while supporting operations and management teams across multiple business units.

You’ll work closely with knowledgeable finance leaders who actively support development. They are currently reviewing the finance team structure, so the role would be offered as a 6-month contract with a view that the right person would stay on with the organisation once extra resourcing has been best assessed.

The Role

- Period-end actual-to-budget variance analysis and commentary
- Presenting results and recommendations to department managers and senior leadership




- Partnering with business unit leaders to provide analysis, insights and performance improvement support
- Business case development and service line profitability analysis
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Journals, accruals, prepayments and allocations
- Reconciliations and period-end close support
- Continuous improvement of reporting, processes and controls

Your Background

- Able to start in the next 2 weeks to support the team
- CA/CPA qualification
- Proven finance business partnering experience on your resume. Truly helping decision makers providing meaning in the numbers.
- Strong technical accounting skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with non-finance stakeholders
- Background in healthcare/aged care/education or another regulated, complex workplace (highly regarded)
