Job description
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised Learning and Development Officer to join a QLD State Government Department on a temporary basis. In this role, you will provide critical support in the coordination, delivery, and continuous improvement of learning and development programs. You will work both autonomously and collaboratively to help enhance workforce capability across regional and central operations.
What You Will Be Doing
- Conduct desktop research to identify and recommend improvements for learning processes and practices
- Assist team members in developing, implementing, and reviewing streamlined learning resources for internal stakeholders
- Track, analyse, and audit learning procedures, business submissions, and resource metrics
- Provide logistical support, meeting preparation, and guidance to team members and regional officers
- Prepare high-quality written materials, including reports, guides, presentations, agendas, and minutes
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners to ensure smooth program implementation

Key Requirements & Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- High level of adaptability and flexibility to handle shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent organisational and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Suite (specifically Teams, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint)
- Intermediate knowledge of Adobe Acrobat (highly regarded)
