About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic procurement professional to join a busy QLD State Government team. In this role you will provide essential procurement services to operational staff while promoting industry best practice. You will balance autonomous work with team collaboration, taking full ownership of your assigned tenders and tasks.
What You Will Be Doing
- Prepare and call tenders for a variety of categories including construction, maintenance consulting and upgrade activities.
- Execute operational purchasing activities such as raising and amending purchase orders.
- Deliver professional and effective customer service to internal stakeholders, external contractors and suppliers.
- Maintain rigorous document control and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Ensure full compliance with the Queensland Procurement Policy and relevant government legislation.
About You
You bring strong public sector procurement experience and a keen eye for detail. You thrive in a fast paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously with ease.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Minimum AO4 level Queensland Government procurement experience.
Highly Desirable:
- Previous procurement experience within the Building, Construction and Maintenance category.
- Formal procurement purchasing or contract management accreditation including Queensland Purchasing QGCPO CIPS or similar.
