About the Opportunity | Mō tēnei tūranga
We're seeking two Programme Managers to join, one within the Growth portfolio and one within the Remediation and new assets portfolio and lead some of Fonterra’s largest and most strategically important capital investments. Based within the Capital Projects, this role is responsible for shaping and delivering major programmes that support Fonterra’s Strategic Asset Road Map and future success.

As the Programme Manager, you’ll provide end-to-end leadership across complex capital programmes, from early investment planning and business case development through to execution, transition and delivery. Working across a broad stakeholder landscape, you'll bring together operational, technical, commercial and project teams to ensure investments are well designed, risks are managed and intended business outcomes are achieved.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial acumen and the ability to influence without authority. You'll help guide significant investment decisions, establish effective governance structures, lead programme integration, and create alignment across diverse stakeholder groups to deliver successful outcomes for the Co-operative.

You are a strategic thinker and accomplished programme leader who thrives in complex environments.



You bring extensive experience leading large-scale programmes, balancing commercial considerations with operational delivery, and successfully navigating ambiguity to drive results.

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

- Proven experience delivering large, complex programmes with successful business outcomes.
- Strong programme leadership experience, ideally within capital projects, infrastructure, manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence across all levels of an organisation.
- Demonstrated success developing investment business cases and guiding major projects through governance and approval processes.
- Strong commercial acumen, business analysis capability, and experience evaluating investment opportunities and risks.
- Experience leading transformational change and integrating complex programmes of work.
- The ability to identify, assess and proactively manage programme risks while maintaining focus on delivery outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders and bring diverse groups together around a common objective.
- A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Project Management, Technology or a related discipline. PMP or equivalent certification is highly regarded
