We are seeking a talented and passionate Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join our long-standing practice in Essendon, VIC. Initially working 1 day/ week and building to 2-3 days part-time for the right person. You will play a crucial role in providing high-quality oral care and education to our valued patients.
What you'll be doing
- Conducting comprehensive oral health assessments and developing personalised treatment plans and treatment coordinating
- Performing a range of preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride applications
- Educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices and promoting good dental health
- Collaborating with the dentists to ensure seamless, comprehensive patient care
- Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhering to strict infection control protocols and ensuring a protected, clean clinical setting
What we're looking for
- Registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist qualification
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, in a private dental practice
- Strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
- Adult scope, experience in periodonal disease management, restorative dentistry and aligner therapy
- Confidence and experience with Airflow, digital scanners, rubber dam and ability to work solo for hygiene appointments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to educate and motivate patients
- Proficiency in using dental software and computer systems
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to contribute to the practice's success
