Situated a short distance west of Glenmorgan, this family-owned cattle and cropping enterprise operates approximately 33,000 acres across three aggregating properties with 8,000 of farming country. The farming enterprise operates a successful broadacre cropping program producing wheat, barley, sorghum and forage oats and investing in improved pasture developments. Crops are supported by well-developed irrigation infrastructure including 150 hectares under centre pivot. With a focus on continued growth, the business is actively expanding its cultivated area within the near future.

Reporting directly to the owner, this role would suit an experienced Farm Hand with strong machinery and mechanical skills who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard. The successful applicant will join a small team environment where attitude, reliability and teamwork are valued just as highly as technical ability.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

- Operate broadacre farming machinery including tractors, headers, sprayers and spreaders.
- Carry out machinery servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Undertake ground preparation, deep ripping and seasonal farming operations.
- Assist with irrigation activities including operation and monitoring of centre pivot.
- Support general farm operations and provide assistance with livestock activities when required.

Selection Criteria:

- Previous experience in a Farm Hand, Machinery Operator or similar agricultural role.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to diagnose and repair machinery faults.
- Competent operating modern broadacre farming equipment and GPS guidance systems.
- Sound understanding of cropping operations and general farm practices.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a small team.
- Own tools preferred.
- Chemical Cert Accreditation + HR / MC Licence advantageous.
