Food and Beverage Manager

Reports To: Venue Manager Location: Canberra, ACT Employment Type: Full Time Salary: $80,000–$90,000 + Super (dependent on experience)

About the Role

As our Food and Beverage Manager, you'll lead the launch and ongoing operation of our new food and beverage offering at the to be newly launched Swing City Canberra. Reporting directly to the Venue Manager, you'll build and manage a high-performing F&B; team, oversee day-to-day service, and ensure our kitchen and bar & POS operations run efficiently, safely, and profitably.

This is a rare prospect to shape a food and beverage department from the ground up in a unique golf and entertainment venue, with real scope to leave your mark on menus, systems, and team culture.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Service

- Oversee daily F&B; operations across the kiosk, bar, and dining areas.

- Ensure consistent, high-quality service standards across all shifts.

- Manage rostering, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.

- Monitor and control costs against wage and COGS budgets.

Team Leadership

- Recruit, train, and manage F&B; attendants team.

- Conduct staff inductions and ongoing training, including RSA compliance.

- Build a positive, customer-focused team culture.

Compliance & Safety





- Ensure full compliance with RSA, food safety, and WHS requirements.

- Maintain accurate records for food safety and liquor licensing obligations.

- Conduct regular safety and compliance checks in F&B; areas.

Financial Management

- Support the Venue Manager with F&B; budgeting and forecasting.

- Track sales performance and identify opportunities to grow revenue.

- Manage stock takes, wastage control, and supplier invoicing.

About You

You'll ideally have:

- Proven experience as an F&B; Manager, Venue Manager, or similar leadership role.

- Current RSA certification (required, not negotiable).

- Strong people management and rostering experience.

- Sound knowledge of food safety and liquor licensing requirements.

- Excellent communication and organisational skills.

- Experience in golf, sport, hospitality, or recreation venues highly regarded.
