Join Bright Horizon Care — a Registered-Nurse-led team that supports you to deliver confident, high-care, person-centred support that changes lives.
Our participants live across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Morisset area, and we are particularly looking for local Support Workers who live within or close to the areas they support.
We’re seeking experienced and reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers who takes pride in providing exceptional care for clients with complex or high physical needs.
Every day is different — from personal care and medication support to community outings and companionship, you’ll make a real difference.
At Bright Horizon Care, you’re not expected to figure everything out on your own. Our team is supported by Registered Nurses and clinical training, with participant-specific guidance provided where required.
? What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing personal care, toileting, showering, dressing, and grooming with dignity.
- Safely operating hoist lifters, slide sheets, and mobility aids.
- Supporting medication administration and accurate documentation.
- Assisting with community access and social participation.
- Supporting participants with complex physical and high-care needs.
- Following detailed care plans and risk assessments with professionalism and compassion.

? We’re Looking for People Who
- Have experience working in disability support, particularly with physical disability and/or complex care needs.
- Are reliable and understand the importance of committing to rostered shifts.
- Are confident providing personal care and hands-on support.
- Are comfortable learning participant-specific equipment, routines and clinical support requirements.
- Communicate professionally and work well as part of a team.
- Take documentation, safety and duty of care seriously.
- Respect participant choice, dignity, privacy and independence.
- Are willing to undertake additional training and competency assessment where required.
We’re not looking for someone who simply wants to pick up an occasional shift. We’re looking for dependable Support Workers who want to become a consistent part of a participant’s support team.
