The Opportunity
Survey Management Solutions (SMS) is seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our growing South Australian team.
This is a primarily office-based role focused on survey computations, data management, 3D modelling, quality assurance, and technical support for our field teams. You'll play a key role in ensuring survey deliverables are accurate, efficient, and ready to support successful project outcomes.
As a senior member of the team, you'll also mentor junior staff and contribute to the ongoing development of our survey systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review survey computations and set-out data
- Create and manage 3D models for construction projects
- Conduct QA/QC checks on survey deliverables
- Provide technical support to field surveyors and machine guidance operators
- Manage survey data and project documentation
- Liaise with project teams and clients to deliver project requirements
- Train and mentor junior surveyors
- Assist with project planning, resourcing, and quotations
About You
- Qualification in Surveying, Spatial Science, Geomatics, or similar
- Strong experience in survey computations and construction surveying
- Experience with GPS, Total Stations, machine guidance, and survey software
- Sound understanding of QA processes and survey validation
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and support multiple projects
