What you will do

As Justice Officer - Property, you will manage prisoner property and related enquiries.

You will work under supervision and deal directly with prisoners.

You will:

- manage safe storage, records, transfers and distribution of prisoner property and valuables
- keep enough prisoner clothing and other suitable items ready for use
- check property claims, resolve issues and refer claims when needed
- give clear information about prison services and follow relevant rules and procedures
- keep accurate records, complete audits and help improve local work

About you

No formal qualification is listed as mandatory for this role. Advanced computer skills are desirable, including word processing, spreadsheets and email.

You should also have:

- strong computer skills and confidence using different computer systems
- sound knowledge of relevant laws, policies, procedures and rules
- experience or understanding of working in a correctional setting
- calm and respectful communication with people from diverse backgrounds
