Clinical Coordinator / Senior Dental Assistant

Practice Development Project

Are you an experienced dental assistant who loves creating efficient systems, mentoring others and helping a practice reach its full potential?
We are a friendly, patient-focused two-chair general dental practice on Sydney's Lower North Shore that is undergoing an exciting refurbishment and investment in new equipment.
This is a unique opportunity to work alongside the practice owner to help redesign the way our practice operates.

About the role
We're looking for an experienced senior dental assistant who can help us:
• Implement a modern cassette system
• Set up new surgeries and equipment
• Optimise sterilisation workflows
• Organise instruments, materials and storage
• Develop inventory and ordering systems
• Train and mentor our dental assistants
• Help establish consistent clinical protocols
• Contribute to creating a calm, efficient and welcoming patient experience

About you
You will ideally have:
• At least 10 years' experience as a dental assistant in Australian private practice




• Excellent knowledge of infection control and instrument reprocessing
• Experience with modern dental equipment and digital workflows
• Outstanding organisational skills
• A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting others
• A positive, calm and solutions-focused approach
• The confidence to recommend improvements while working collaboratively
Experience setting up a new practice or introducing new systems would be highly regarded but is not essential.
