Principal’s Assistant & Enrolment Officer

We are seeking an enthusiastic, highly organised, and experienced Principal’s Assistant & Enrolment Officer to join our growing team.
This key role provides executive administrative support to the Principal while supporting enrolments, admissions, reception services, parent engagement, and front-office operations.
Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
The Role
The successful applicant will be professional, approachable, discreet, and highly organised, with exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy school environment.
They will demonstrate a commitment to the Islamic ethos of Arrahman College and have a passion for providing outstanding service to students, families, staff, and the wider community.
Key Responsibilities
Principal’s Executive Support
- Provide high-level administrative and confidential support to the Principal.
- Manage correspondence, emails, appointments, meetings, and follow-up actions.
- Assist with diary management and coordination of priorities.
- Prepare reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, and communications.
- Maintain organised and confidential records.
- Coordinate meetings, events, tours, and community activities.
- Liaise professionally with staff, parents, external organisations, and stakeholders.
- Undertake research, data collection, and general administrative tasks.
Enrolment & Admissions
- Support the Operations Manager with all enrolment and admissions processes.
- Respond to enrolment enquiries via phone, email, online platforms, and in person.
- Assist families throughout the enrolment journey from enquiry to commencement.
- Maintain accurate enrolment records, applications, waitlists, and student data.
- Coordinate enrolment interviews, assessments, school tours, and information sessions.
- Prepare enrolment correspondence, offers, and documentation.
- Monitor vacancies, applications,
and enrolment requirements.
- Assist with enrolment reporting, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Ensure enrolment processes comply with College policies and procedures.
Reception & Parent Engagement
- Provide a professional and welcoming front-office service.
- Act as a first point of contact for visitors and enquiries.
- Maintain a professional reception environment.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.
- Ensure appropriate confidentiality and follow-up of enquiries.
Student & Family Administration
- Maintain accurate student and family records.
- Support student transitions, commencements, and withdrawals.
- Assist with documentation, reports, forms, and student administration processes.
Communications & Community Engagement
- Assist with newsletters, notices, parent communications, and promotional materials.
- Support open days, enrolment events, information evenings, and community functions.
- Assist with social media and digital communications where required.
- Ensure communications reflect the College’s professional standards and Islamic values.
Operational Support
- Provide administrative support to the Principal, leadership team, and administration staff.
- Assist with meetings, events, room bookings, resources, purchasing, and document preparation.
- Maintain effective administrative systems and records.
Student Wellbeing, First Aid & Duty of Care
- Support student wellbeing, safety, and child protection requirements.
- Assist with first aid and emergency response as required.
- Ensure incidents are documented appropriately.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain and maintain these qualifications, is required.
Essential Criteria

- Experience in administration, executive assistance, enrolments, customer service, or a related field.

- Strong interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital systems.

Highly Regarded Experience
- School administration or education sector experience.
- Executive Assistant, Enrolment Officer, Reception, or similar experience.
- Knowledge of school enrolment processes and student record management.
- Marketing, social media, content creation, photography, and digital communications.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Express, Microsoft Office, or similar platforms.

Remuneration
Salary will be paid in accordance with the Independent Schools (Professional and Support Staff) Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025, based on qualifications, experience, and responsibilities.
