Are you a commercially minded Cost Analyst looking for an opportunity to take ownership of product costing and work closely with FP&A;?

We are currently seeking a Cost Analyst to join a collaborative finance team, working closely with the FP&A; Manager to ensure accurate and robust costing across the business.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills who enjoys working with detailed financial data, understanding cost drivers and improving costing processes. You will play a key role in revamping the existing costing project, ensuring accurate and up-to-date costings across materials and individual SKUs.

The Role

- Working closely with the FP&A; Manager to support costing and commercial analysis across the business
- Creating, analysing and maintaining full bills of costings for individual materials and SKUs
- Reviewing existing product costings to ensure they are accurate, complete and up to date
- Taking ownership of the costing project, including reviewing and revamping current costing processes
- Analysing material, production and operational costs to understand key cost drivers
- Ensuring the correct costs are allocated to individual products and SKUs
- Investigating costing variances and identifying discrepancies or areas requiring review
- Supporting inventory costing, stock valuations and reconciliations
- Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes alongside the FP&A; Manager




- Preparing financial and management reports to support business decision-making
- Identifying opportunities to improve costing accuracy, processes and reporting

About You
We are looking for a Cost Analyst who has:

- Previous experience in cost accounting, cost analysis, management accounting, FP&A; or a similar analytical finance role
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, discrepancies and cost drivers
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to work collaboratively with finance, operations and other stakeholders
- The confidence to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement
