We're looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised Events Assistant to join our Marketing, Communications and Enrolments Team and support the delivery of these experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys balancing creativity with organisation, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in supporting memorable events from planning through to delivery.

This opportunity offers:

- Fixed-term full-time contract commencing as soon as possible until the end of Term 2, 2027

About the Role

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, Communications and Enrolments, this fixed-term role (commencing as soon as possible until the end of Term 2, 2027)



supports the planning and delivery of a diverse range of College events and community engagement activities.

Working closely with the Marketing, Communications and Enrolments Team, you will assist with event administration, communications, registrations, logistics, supplier liaison and on-the-day event support.

You will contribute to events that celebrate student achievement, showcase the Mercedes College experience and strengthen connections across our community.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with people, managing competing priorities, solving problems and contributing to exceptional event experiences.

About You

You are a proactive, organised and people-focused professional who:

- Has experience supporting or coordinating events, projects or community engagement activities.
- Builds positive relationships and delivers exceptional experiences for a wide range of stakeholders.
- Is exceptionally organised and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicates effectively and professionally with a variety of audiences.
- Brings creativity, initiative and a solutions-focused mindset to your work.
- Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Has strong digital literacy skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Is flexible and willing to support events outside standard business hours when required.
- Supports and upholds the Catholic ethos and Mercy tradition of the College.

Highly Desirable





- Experience supporting events and community engagement initiatives.
- Experience assisting with event communications, registrations or event administration systems.
- Experience working within an education, community or customer-focused setting.

Qualifications and Training:

The successful applicant will be required to hold:

- Certificate IV in Business Administration, Event Management, Customer Engagement, Marketing or a related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
- RRHAN-EC training (Fundamentals and Masterclass)
- First Aid Certificate HLTAID012.
