NewDay Kids Early Learning Centre is a 58-place early learning service nestled amongst nature in Figtree. We have a passionate, friendly and supportive team committed to providing high-quality education and care in a warm, nurturing and child-safe environment.

As NewDay Kids continues to grow, we are expanding our team and are looking for passionate and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educators to join us.

We currently have opportunities available for:

- Full-time permanent educators

- Part-time permanent educators

- 12-month maternity leave contracts, with the possibility of ongoing permanent employment at the conclusion of the contract.

We welcome applications from Certificate III and Diploma-qualified educators.

About the Role

As an Early Childhood Educator at NewDay Kids, you will contribute to creating a safe, inclusive and engaging environment where every child is respected, valued and supported to learn and develop.

You will be responsible for:

- Building positive, respectful and responsive relationships with children and families.





- Supporting the implementation of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

- Planning and implementing meaningful learning experiences that respond to children's individual interests, strengths, needs and development.

- Working collaboratively with educators and room leaders to provide high-quality education and care.

- Supporting children's wellbeing, learning and development.

- Contributing to observations, documentation, reflection and the educational program.

- Maintaining a safe, clean and engaging learning environment.

- Working in accordance with the National Quality Standard (NQS), National Regulations, service policies and procedures and the Child Safe Standards.

- Actively contributing to a strong culture of child safety and wellbeing.

Child Safety & Recruitment

At NewDay Kids, child safety is our highest priority.

We are committed to creating and maintaining a child-safe environment where children's safety, welfare, wellbeing, rights and best interests are paramount.

All educators are expected to uphold our commitment to child safety and comply with our Child Safe Environment Policy, Child Protection Policy,



Code of Conduct and other relevant policies and procedures.

Our recruitment process includes child-safe screening, structured interviews, referee checks and relevant suitability checks.

Successful applicants will be required to hold and have their NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) status verified before commencing employment, together with any other required screening and suitability checks.

NewDay Kids covers the cost of the required Police Check for new employees.

Successful applicants will also be required to complete mandatory child safety and child protection training relevant to their role and demonstrate an understanding of their responsibilities in relation to child protection and reporting concerns about children.

NewDay Kids is committed to ensuring all staff understand their responsibility to protect children from harm, abuse and neglect and to speak up when concerns arise.

Employment is subject to the applicant meeting all applicable regulatory, screening, qualification and suitability requirements. Workforce information will be maintained in the National Early Childhood Worker Register as required.

Qualifications & Experience

- Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care, or a recognised equivalent qualification.

- Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) or ability to obtain one where applicable.

- Current first aid qualifications, or willingness to obtain and maintain required qualifications.

- Previous experience in an early childhood education and care setting is highly regarded.

- A genuine commitment to child safety and high-quality education and care.

Hours

Positions are available Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled across our operating hours of:

6:15am – 6:00pm

We are open to discussing full-time and part-time hours and can offer flexibility for the right candidate, depending on service requirements.
