About the role

We are seeking a talented Project Designer/Sales Consultant to join our team on a contract basis, located in Gumdale QLD 4154. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between our clients' visions and our design and installation capabilities. You will combine consultative selling with creative design expertise to develop compelling project proposals that drive sales whilst ensuring client satisfaction. This position is essential to our growth strategy, allowing us to deliver tailored solutions that resonate with our target market and establish long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

- Conduct thorough client consultations to understand project requirements, preferences and budgetary constraints

- Develop innovative design concepts and visual presentations that showcase pools and landscape solutions tailored to each client's needs

- Prepare detailed project proposals, quotations and cost estimates with clear timelines and specifications

- Present designs and proposals to clients in a compelling manner, addressing questions and objections professionally

- Manage the sales process from initial contact through contract negotiation





- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to ensure project feasibility and quality standards

- Build and maintain strong client relationships assisting the team throughout the project lifecycle

- Achieve sales targets and contribute to the expansion of the company's client base within the local market

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging design innovations

- Attend client appointments to conduct site analysis and obtain all required information to enable accurate design development

What we're looking for

Proven experience in sales or consultative selling, ideally within the swimming pool, home improvement construction, landscaping or outdoor living sectors

- Strong design sensibility with the ability to conceptualize and communicate design ideas effectively

- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Pool Studio, SketchUp, hand drawn or similar design visualization tools

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams

- Sound understanding of pools, landscaping, outdoor design principles and construction practices

- Demonstrated ability to prepare professional proposals, quotations and project documentation

- Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets





- Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to meet client needs and site constraints

- Valid driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the Brisbane, Redlands and Moreton Bay Council local area

- Diploma or qualification in landscape design, architecture, or related field is preferred but not essential if you have solid relevant experience
