About the role
We are looking for enthusiastic Food & Beverage Attendants to join the [A] Team for this prestigious event.
The four race days we must have full commitment for are:
Sat 31 Oct – Derby Day
Tues 3 Nov – Melbourne Cup Day
Thurs 5 Nov – Oaks Day
Sat 7 Nov – Stakes Day
As a Food & Beverage Attendant at the Melbourne Cup Carnival, you will be responsible for overseeing and running various client function rooms within a dedicated facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the seamless execution of hospitality services for our valued clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with all team members to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Ensure bars are set up and packed down according to bar operations procedure.
- Ensure you follow the appropriate standard operating procedures (sop’s) and sequence of service procedures in the execution of your duties.
- Ensure that your section/s are correctly setup, and that items and/or products are of high standard and in good condition as required, i.e., cutlery, crockery, napkins, glassware, etc.
- Maintain communication with the manager on duty so that information regarding special requests or customer feedback can be effectively actioned.
- Serving guests food and beverage.
- Meet and greet customers.
- Picking up glasses; removing food plates; setting and/or wiping down tables; and cleaning and tidying of associated areas.
- General assistance to food and beverage attendants of a higher grade.
- Supplying, dispensing, or mixing of liquor.
- Monitor the dining floor to ensure all customers’ needs are being acknowledged and attended to in an efficient and friendly manner.
The successful applicants will need to have the following:
- Previous experience in food and beverage service, particularly in events or hospitality
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- A current RSA certificate is essential
