Payroll Manager | 3-Month Contract

Our client is a well-established national organisation supporting a sizeable workforce across multiple states. With a permanent team member heading on a period of planned leave, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to provide leadership and hands-on support to the payroll function on a 3-month contract.

Chance

- Manage end-to-end payroll across fortnightly and monthly pay cycles
- Lead, mentor and support a Senior Payroll Officer
- Act as the escalation point for complex payroll queries and stakeholder matters
- Oversee payroll reconciliations, reporting, audit and month-end processes
- Ensure compliance with Australian payroll legislation, STP, superannuation and internal payroll controls
- Administer and maintain the payroll system




- Partner with human resources and other key stakeholders on payroll matters

Skills and Experience

- Strong end-to-end payroll management experience within a medium to large organisation
- Hands-on experience running both fortnightly and monthly payroll cycles
- Aurion experience (essential)
- Experience leading, mentoring or supporting at least one payroll team member
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, compliance, STP, superannuation and internal controls
- Solid reconciliations, reporting, audit and month-end payroll capability
- Background in a medium to large, complex organisation
