About the Roles Reporting to the Project Coordinator, you will supervise skilled preservation personnel and ensure work is completed safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
Depending on your experience, your responsibilities may include:

- Supervise painting, blasting and preservation activities.
- Coordinate daily work activities, labour and project priorities.
- Conduct QA/QC inspections and testing in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans.
- Inspect surface preparation and coating applications.
- Monitor environmental conditions, coating thickness and curing requirements.
- Complete coating reports, ITPs, JSEAs and supporting project documentation.
- Ensure work complies with project specifications and quality requirements.
- Monitor project progress and communicate updates to key stakeholders.
- Support planning, estimating and reporting activities.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain compliance with safety procedures and legislative requirements.




- Lead teams to deliver quality work safely, efficiently and within budget.

Essential Requirements To be considered, you must have:

- NACE Level 2 certification.
- Extensive preservation, protective coatings or industrial painting experience.
- Supervisory and/or coatings QA/QC inspection experience.
- Experience conducting inspections and testing in accordance with ITPs.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, abrasive blasting and coating application.
- Experience working with 2-pack paint systems.
- Ability to prepare and maintain coating reports, ITPs, JSEAs and related documentation.
- Strong leadership, planning, reporting and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence.
- Current Working at Heights qualification.
- Current Confined Space qualification.
- Construction White Card.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security Clearance.
- Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.

Highly Regarded
- Certificate III in Surface Preparation and Coating Application.
- Marine, shipbuilding or submarine experience.
- Previous experience within a Defence setting.
- Estimating and project-planning experience.
- Experience supervising blasting and painting crews.
