About the role
Groote Archipelago Regional Council is seeking a motivated and organised Project Officer to join the team on a full-time basis in Angurugu, Northern Territory.
In this hands-on role, you will support the delivery of infrastructure, fleet and asset management activities across the Groote Archipelago communities. Working closely with the Technical Services Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating operations, maintaining accurate records, and supporting procurement and contractor activities to ensure services are delivered effectively and on time.
What you'll be doing
- Provide administrative and coordination support across infrastructure, fleet and asset management activities
- Maintain accurate records, databases and documentation to support reporting and operational planning
- Assist with procurement processes, including sourcing quotes, raising purchase orders and processing invoices
- Coordinate fleet, plant and equipment scheduling, including servicing and maintenance requirements
- Support the coordination of contractors and service providers to ensure works are completed efficiently
- Assist with preparing reports, data and documentation to meet compliance and Council requirements
- Contribute to grant applications and supporting documentation for infrastructure-related projects
- Build and maintain positive relationships with community members, stakeholders and service providers
What we're looking for
- Valid NT Class C Driver’s Licence
- Demonstrated knowledge of civil works, construction processes or infrastructure maintenance (e.g. roads, drainage, buildings)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience with procurement processes, contractor coordination and compliance requirements
- Ability to take a proactive, solutions-focused approach and work effectively with limited resources
- Proven ability to meet targets and deliver outcomes within set timeframes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365
