HOBAN Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Workshop Technician to join our client’s After Sales team.
Our client is a leading heavy machinery and equipment provider, delivering sales, after-sales service, repairs and technical support across the construction and earthmoving industries.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Diesel/Heavy Earthmoving Technician looking for a hands-on role involving servicing, repairs, diagnostics and customer support.
About the Role
As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for providing timely solutions to customer issues involving machines in the workshop, with occasional field work as required.
Location: Newcastle NSW
You will play an important role in maintaining customer satisfaction, supporting machine uptime and providing quality repair and diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide servicing and repair capabilities within the workshop
- Diagnose customer issues and provide technical assistance where required
- Complete accurate reports on workshop work carried out
- Provide photos and documentation to meet warranty requirements
- Maintain positive customer relationships
- Support field service staff when required
- Liaise with the person responsible for tasking and prioritising work
- Maintain a clean, professional and serviceable workshop
- Maintain a professional standard of presentation
- Be aware of utilisation and charge rates for expense recovery
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A Diesel / Heavy Earthmoving trade certificate
- At least 4 years' post-trade experience
- An understanding of electric-over-hydraulic systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- A Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid licence is desirable
