About us

Kylym Construction Pty Ltd is a new WA construction company focused initially on delivering a two-storey, 10-apartment Class 2 development in Mandurah, with plans for further residential and multi-residential projects.

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager who holds a current WA Building Practitioner registration to join the company, lead the delivery of the project and be willing to act as the company’s Nominated Supervisor.

About the project

The project is a two-storey, 10-apartment Class 2 development in Mandurah using a hybrid construction system incorporating reinforced concrete, masonry and light-gauge steel framing.

The proposed construction includes a concrete ground-floor slab and suspended floor, masonry external walls to the ground floor, and light-gauge steel framing to the remaining walls and roof structure.

Pre-construction and consultant coordination are currently underway, with site construction expected to commence soon.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the company’s Nominated Supervisor

• Lead the construction delivery of the Class 2 development

• Review construction drawings, specifications and consultant documentation

• Coordinate architects, engineers, building surveyors and other consultants

• Plan and manage the construction programme

• Coordinate and supervise subcontractors and suppliers

• Manage concrete, masonry, structural steel and LSF interfaces

• Coordinate LSF shop drawings,



engineering and installation

• Manage quality assurance, inspections and hold points

• Manage fire, acoustic, waterproofing and structural compliance

• Manage WHS and subcontractor compliance

• Monitor programme, costs, procurement and project risks

• Manage defects, practical completion and handover

• Liaise with the building surveyor and relevant authorities

About you

Essential:

• Current WA Building Practitioner registration

• Willing and eligible to act as Nominated Supervisor for Kylym Construction Pty Ltd

• Robust Construction Manager or senior Site Manager experience

• Good knowledge of the NCC, Australian Standards and WA building requirements

• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and subcontractor management

• Experience coordinating consultants, trades and suppliers

• Strong WHS and quality-management knowledge

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Current WA driver’s licence and White Card

Highly regarded:

• Class 2 apartment or multi-residential construction experience

• Light-gauge steel framing (LSF) or lightweight construction experience

• Experience with hybrid concrete, masonry and steel-frame construction





• Strong knowledge of fire, acoustic and quality-compliance requirements

Employment arrangement

The role can be structured as full-time, part-time or flexible hours, depending on the candidate’s experience, availability and the requirements of each project stage.

The level of involvement is expected to increase during key construction stages, particularly structural works, LSF erection, building envelope, services coordination and pre-line inspections.
