Mechanical Technician – Solar Farm (Near Parkes, NSW)

DC Search is partnering with a leading renewable energy operator to recruit a Mechanical Technician for a solar farm near Parkes, NSW.

As part of the site-based Operations & Maintenance team, you'll play a key role in maintaining the performance, reliability, and protected operation of the plant. This is a great opportunity to secure a permanent position within Australia's growing renewable energy sector.

Position Details

- Permanent Full-Time Role

- Monday to Friday

- Tools & PPE Provided

- Local candidates only or those willing to relocate

Your Day-to-Day

- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems and site infrastructure.

- Inspect, maintain, and repair solar tracker systems and associated components.

- Perform routine inspections to monitor equipment performance.

- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and complete repairs as required.

- Complete maintenance work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records.

- Assist with general site maintenance alongside the wider Operations & Maintenance team.

- Operate site equipment, including tractors, RTVs, and mowing equipment.

What You'll Need





- Minimum 2 years' experience in a mechanical or trade-based role.

- Mechanical trade qualification (Certificate II or III desirable).

- High Risk Work Licence.

- Current C Class Driver's Licence.

- Experience working with similar mechanical systems.

- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and obtain a valid National Police Check.

- Basic computer skills for maintenance reporting systems.

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
