Job Description

Rembrandt Living is seeking a passionate and reliable Domestic Assistant/Cleaner to join our team in providing high-quality home care services to our clients in Adelaide's south, western and northern areas. This is a casual or Part Time position, scheduled between 9.00am - 6.00pm (Based on your availability)

- Perform general cleaning duties in clients' homes, including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and tidying
- Assist with laundry tasks, such as washing, drying, and folding clothes
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation in clients' homes
- Provide a friendly and compassionate service, ensuring clients' needs are met with care and respect
- Communicate regularly with the Rembrandt Living team to provide updates and feedback on client care

Job Requirements

- Previous experience in a similar home care or domestic assistance role, preferably within the aged care or disability support industry
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a caring and empathetic approach
- Reliable, punctual, and versatile, with the ability to adapt to the needs of our diverse client base
- Have a current driver's licence and a reliable car
- A demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable individuals
- Valid CPR and First Aid certificate - mandatory

Job Responsibilities

- Deliver domestic duties, such as cleaning to Clients of Rembrandt Living using products and resources supplied by Rembrandt Living or by the Client




- Maintain safety requirements when using equipment and chemicals and follow appropriate manual handling processes
- Ensure safe use of specialist cleaning equipment, e.g. vacuum cleaners and cleaning chemicals.
- Help with Maintaining Client independence as much as possible through work practice.
- You will maintain regular contact with the Care Partner to provide feedback relating to Clients’ needs in relation to services and to receive relevant information.
- Maintain confidentiality on all issues relating to the organisation, Clients, other staff and volunteers.
- Treat all Clients with respect, dignity and equality and ensures quality access to services.
- Ensure that all documentation, including Client records, are accurate, complete and stored in a qualified, safe and timely manner.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as planned/required
