We are an established Australian business seeking an experienced Inventory Administrator to join our team.
This is an opportunity to join a professional and supportive workplace in a role that combines inventory administration, purchasing coordination and day-to-day operational support. The position would suit someone who enjoys working with accurate information, established processes and systems, while also being comfortable managing their own workload and responding to changing priorities.
The Role
As the Inventory Administrator, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely administration of inventory and purchasing activities across the business.
The role involves a range of responsibilities, including stock management, purchasing, order processing, supplier communication, stock movements and maintaining product information. While many activities follow established processes, the role also requires good judgement and communication skills when dealing with discrepancies, delays, stock requirements and supplier queries.
You will work with a range of internal teams and external suppliers, making strong organisation, communication and attention to detail essential to the position.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate replenishment and maintain accurate stock records
- Prepare and process purchase orders,
monitor outstanding orders and coordinate deliveries
- Liaise with suppliers regarding orders, availability, pricing and delivery timeframes
- Coordinate receiving, labelling, storage and distribution of stock
- Maintain product and inventory information across internal systems and assist with inventory reporting
- Investigate discrepancies, resolve inventory or supply issues and identify opportunities to improve processes
What you will bring:
Exceptional attention to detail is essential for this position. You will be working with stock records, product information, orders and quantities where accuracy is critical. We are looking for someone who naturally checks their work, notices inconsistencies and follows tasks through to completion.
You will ideally have:
- Similar experience in inventory, purchasing, administration or a similar role
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Robust written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
- Confidence communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders
- Ability to learn and work confidently with spreadsheets, systems and data
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team
