We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Employment Lawyer, full time or part-time, to join our dynamic team based in Collins Street, Melbourne. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of four (4) years post admission experience in employment law and a proven track record of successfully handling a variety of employment-related cases.

About You:

To be successful in the role, you will have:

- A Juris Doctor or Bachelor of Laws degree (or equivalent) and admission to practice in Victoria

- At least 4 years post-admission experience in employment law/industrial relations, ideally acting for employers

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

- A high level of attention to detail and organisational skills to manage competing priorities

- A proactive and professional approach with a commitment to ethical standards

- Ability to work closely and cooperatively with others, including as a mentor and supervisor to more junior staff

- Genuine enthusiasm for challenging and interesting employment law work

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide expert legal advice on employment law and industrial relations matters, including workplace disputes, discrimination, and termination

- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and court/tribunal proceedings

- Draft and review employment contracts, policies, and other legal documents





- Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law

- Collaborate with clients to develop effective legal strategies

- Mentor junior lawyers/paralegals and contribute to the firm's knowledge base
