Dalby Mower Supplies is looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our team.
We are a local business servicing and repairing a wide range of outdoor power equipment, agricultural and recreational machinery. If you enjoy diagnosing problems, getting your hands dirty and seeing a machine leave the workshop running better than when it arrived, we'd like to hear from you.
The Work
You'll be working on a wide variety of equipment and brands, including:
- Stihl
- Honda
- Hustler
- Polaris
- Cub Cadet
- Davey
- And many other brands and types of machinery
We're generally happy to have a go at most machines, so no two days in the workshop are exactly the same.
Your role will include:
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Servicing and repairing small engines and equipment
- Troubleshooting fuel, ignition and electrical systems
- Replacing and repairing mechanical components
- Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance
- Testing and tuning equipment
- Keeping the workshop clean and organised
- Providing quality workmanship and taking pride in your repairs
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a small engine mechanic or similar
- Has good mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in their workmanship
- Is reliable, honest and punctual
- Has a good attitude and is willing to tackle a variety of jobs
- Is comfortable working on different brands and types of machinery
- Manual licence and Fork lift licence preferable but not required
Trade qualifications are preferred, but proven hands-on experience will also be considered.
