About the Role

Takwood Industrial Services is seeking skilled tradespeople — Sheet Metal Workers, & Laggers — to join our team across maintenance, shutdowns, and project work.

These are site-based roles, suited to individuals who thrive in fast‑paced industrial environments and take pride in delivering quality workmanship. You will work across Gladstone-based projects as well as site-away work on a FIFO/DIDO basis, playing an integral role in the successful delivery of our industrial operations.

What You’ll Be Doing

Depending on your trade, responsibilities will include:

- Fabricating, installing, and maintaining sheet metal components including ductwork, piping, and tanks

- Applying insulation materials (lagging) to equipment and pipework for thermal, acoustic, and fire protection

- Working collaboratively with project managers and other trades to ensure safe, effective, and timely completion of work

- Maintaining a safe, tidy, and organised work environment in line with site and company safety systems

What We’re Looking For

- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Workers, and Laggers, ideally within the heavy industrial sector

- Strong technical skills with the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

- High attention to detail, strong problem‑solving skills, and excellent hand‑eye coordination

- A strong commitment to workplace health,



safety, and quality

- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

- Relevant trade qualifications and tickets, such as:

- Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication Trade (or equivalent)

- White Card

- Working at Heights

- EWP(desirable)

- Forklift (desirable)
