We're looking for an experienced Workshop Foreman to oversee the day-to-day operations of our workshop. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can organise work effectively, support their team, and ensure jobs are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

About the Role

As Workshop Foreman, you'll be responsible for coordinating workshop activities, assigning work, monitoring progress, and supporting technicians to achieve quality outcomes. You'll work closely with the wider business to ensure customer expectations are met while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and support the workshop team in daily operations

- Allocate work and resources to ensure efficient job completion

- Monitor workflow, quality, and productivity across the workshop

- Ensure all work is completed to manufacturer specifications and company standards

- Complete and maintain workshop documentation accurately

- Promote and maintain secure work practices at all times

- Identify and address operational issues before they impact customers or productivity

- Support the training and development of workshop personnel





- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment

About You

You are a practical leader who can balance people management with operational responsibilities. You communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure, and can adapt to changing priorities in a busy workshop environment.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

- Mechanical Trade Certificate in Forklift, Diesel, Heavy Vehicle, or a related field

- Experience leading or supervising workshop teams

- Sound understanding of diesel engines and hydraulic systems

- Experience using workshop management systems and computer-based job tracking

- Current driver's licence

- Forklift licence highly regarded

- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety

- Ability to manage competing priorities and work to required timeframes
