Some roles need someone who can stay calm, think on their feet, and genuinely connect - even when things don't go to plan. In Mount Vernon, you'll be supporting a participant with complex needs, and the right person for this brings real experience, steady confidence, and a person-centred approach to every shift.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the participant through their daily routine in a way that respects their independence and pace
- Helping around the home so day-to-day life runs more smoothly
- Getting out into the community together, supporting social participation and connection
- Applying positive behaviour support approaches, guided by the participant's individual plan
- Building a genuine, respectful relationship with the participant and working alongside their family and support team
You're The Right Person If...
- You have experience supporting people with disability, including individuals with behaviours of concern or complex needs
- You're calm under pressure and confident navigating individual routines that don't always go to plan
- You're caring, patient and reliable - someone people can count on
- You communicate clearly and build trust easily, with participants, families, and the wider care team
- You hold a P2 or Open licence with a reliable insured vehicle,
a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, and a Working with Children Check
Shifts Available
- Monday: 6:00pm – 10:00pm
- Plus additional casual shifts as they become available
