Custom Truck Bodies is seeking an experienced Sheet Metal Fabricator and Machine Operator to join our team in Molendinar, Queensland. As a Sheet Metal Fabricator & Machine Operator, you will play a key role in the fabrication and assembly of high-quality custom Toolboxes & Accessories for truck Bodies. This is a full time opportunity with a reputable and growing company in the trades and services industry.

Key responsibilities
Operate fabrication equipment such as Guillotine & folding equipment to shape and form metal components
Perform welding, fabrication, and assembly of toolboxes, equipment, and components
Read and interpret engineering diagrams, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate and precise fabrication
Use a variety of welding techniques, including MIG& TIG welding, to produce high-quality welds
Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely and effective completion of projects
Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols

What we're looking for




Several years of experience as a Sheet Metal Fabricator, ideally in the trades and services or manufacturing industries
Proficiency in operating Brake Press & Guillotine as well as MIG & TIG welding techniques Required.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with colleagues
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the workplace
