The Chance

We’re seeking an energetic and capable individual with a strong background in Fixed Plant Operations, ideally with Mechanical Fitting or Machining experience. This role requires someone with excellent internal and external communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review job quotations
Order materials and components as required
Initiate production documentation and sign off on completed work
Manage and document non-conformances, including corrective and preventive actions
Forecast workload and resource requirements
Maintain quality assurance and compliance with company processes and industry standards
Support risk management activities across all stages of the project lifecycle

The successful candidate will ideally possess, or demonstrate the ability to learn, the following:
Ability to review tender documentation from both a technical and commercial perspective
Proven experience in contract negotiation




Trade qualified as a Mechanical Fitter or Machinist
Strong teamwork and leadership abilities
Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
Understanding of QA systems, contract documentation, mechanical drawings, and material take-offs
Robust knowledge of the local industry
Clear and professional communication skills
Strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and Quality Assurance (QA)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Qualifications
Project Management experience within the mining or manufacturing sector is highly desirable
Post-Trade experience as a Machinist or Fitter – Mandatory
