The Opportunity
The firm is seeking a Family Law Partner to lead its family law practice in Sydney. This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive a practice with genuine autonomy, managing complex property, parenting and financial matters while contributing to firm strategy and leadership as a member of the partnership. It suits a senior practitioner with a portable practice, or an emerging leader ready to step into partnership, seeking meaningful equity potential within a supportive and well‑established firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the family law practice, managing complex property, parenting and financial matters from inception through to resolution.
Build and maintain solid client relationships,
acting as a trusted adviser on sensitive and high‑net‑worth matters.
Drive business development through referral networks, skilled networks and community engagement.
Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and support staff, fostering technical excellence and career development.
Contribute to firm strategy, leadership and culture as a member of the partnership.
Manage practice financials including billing, budgets and matter profitability.
About You
Admitted to practise in NSW with 10+ years' post‑admission experience in family law.
Demonstrated expertise across complex property settlements, parenting disputes, financial agreements and family law litigation.
An established client following or demonstrated capacity to build a practice.
Accredited Specialist in Family Law highly regarded but not essential.
Robust commercial acumen and proven business development capability.
A collaborative leadership style and commitment to mentoring junior talent.
