About the Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Payroll Specialist to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring our people are paid accurately and on time, while also supporting key HR administration and system processes. You will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing, maintaining employee data, and supporting HR operations in a quick-paced and evolving workplace.
Responsibilities
Process end-to-end payroll using ADP/Payforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
Review and validate employee hours, pay rates, and entitlements (using UKG Realtime system)
Process wages, allowances, deductions, taxes, and superannuation
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, including new starters, changes, and terminations
Respond to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
Reconcile payroll data and prepare reports for Finance and management
Maintain employee records in Workday, ensuring data accuracy and integrity
Prepare employment contracts and onboarding documentation
Support onboarding and offboarding processes
Assist with HR reporting (e.g. headcount, turnover)
Support HR projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications
Diploma or equivalent in HR, Business, or a related field (preferred)
Minimum 5+ years' experience in payroll and/or HR administration
Robust attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Experience with payroll/HR systems (ADP, Workday, or similar preferred)
Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
