The Post Office Hotel is a tavern-style hotel located in the heart of Tamworth CBD, Northwestern NSW. We provide lunch and dinner dining options and short-order meals outside dining hours in a busy hospitality workplace.

We are currently seeking a qualified Chef to join our kitchen team and work alongside the Head Chef.

Full time position (Minimum 38 Hours per week)

Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and cooking a range of meals to a high standard
Assisting with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations
Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering
Working efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting

Skills and Experience Required:
Relevant trade qualification (AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma or equivalent) or minimum 3 years relevant experience may substitute formal qualification.
Minimum 1 year’s experience if holding a relevant qualification.
Functional English
Ability to work in a consistently busy kitchen
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen procedures
Ability to display a full range of cooking skills
