About the RoleThe Senior Policy and Strategic Communications Designer is a hands-on role where you'll turn complex policy, data insights and foresight work into clear, engaging and accessible communications for senior leaders.
You'll design visual and multimedia products, support workshops and stakeholder engagement, and help shape how key policy work is communicated across government.You'll be part of the Strategic Foresight team in the Shaping Futures & Data Insights branch, working across a mix of high-priority and fast-moving projects where no two pieces of work are quite the same.To learn more about the role, please review the Role Description.We're Looking For Visual & Communication Design Expertise: Demonstrated experience in visual communication, graphic design or UX design, including strong proficiency with contemporary design tools and the ability to produce high-quality outputs across multiple formats (e.g. presentations, reports, multimedia content)Policy & Strategy Experience: Experience working alongside policy or strategy teams,



with a proven ability to translate complex, technical or abstract information into clear, structured and audience-appropriate communication productsQualifications & Professional Background: Relevant qualifications and/or professional experience in design, communications, policy, strategy, media or related disciplines, with a track record delivering communication or design outcomes in government or complex organisational environmentsStrategic Thinking & Problem Solving: Ability to interpret ambiguous or incomplete information and develop practical frameworks, tools or visual products that support decision-making and communicate key insightsStakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with experience building relationships and working collaboratively across teams, agencies or portfolios to understand requirements and deliver fit-for-purpose outputs.We value diverse experiences.
