Accountant & Bookkeeper Position: Established Public Practice Firm A well-established, reputable Chartered Accounting practice with offices across Ballarat and Geelong is looking to grow its team with two recent hires — an Accountant and a Bookkeeper.

What you'll do:
Prepare and review financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals Prepare and lodge BAS and manage other ATO compliance obligations Provide tax planning advice and support business consulting and succession planning work Build strong client relationships and mentor junior team members What you'll need: CPA (CPA Australia)



or CA ANZ qualification 3+ years' experience in public practice accounting Strong technical tax knowledge and proficiency in Xero, MYOB and/or QuickBooks Bookkeeper — Ballarat or Geelong Office | Full-Time $75,000 - $100,000 (BOE)You'll manage day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll for a portfolio of clients, keeping their records accurate and their compliance on track.What you'll do:
Manage bookkeeping, reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable for a client portfolio in Xero Process client payroll, including PAYG, superannuation and award compliance Prepare and lodge BAS/IAS as required Liaise directly with clients on day-to-day queries What you'll need: Accredited/certified Xero user Demonstrated bookkeeping and payroll experience Working knowledge of BAS preparation (BAS Agent registration highly regarded but not essential) Why apply?
