We employ around 130 staff, many of whom live on-site in our staff accommodation.We're now seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Cook to join our team at Litchfield Outback Resort.As part of our dedicated kitchen team, you'll help deliver consistently high-quality meals and a welcoming experience for every customer.The Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting meals in accordance with established menus, recipes, and quality standards at the roadhouse.
The role supports day-to-day kitchen operations in a high-volume hospitality environment and requires a skilled and reliable individual capable of working independently while maintaining food safety, consistency, and efficiency.Key responsibilities include:Preparing, cooking, and presenting menu items in line with recipes and business requirementsPortioning and plating meals consistentlyAssisting with preparation of daily or nightly specials as directed by the Head Chef or Site ManagerMonitoring food quality, presentation, and service standardsOperating kitchen equipment and maintaining cleanliness of work areasEnsuring compliance with food safety, hygiene,



and workplace health and safety requirementsAssisting with stock control, storage, and minimising food wastageWorking collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure efficient serviceAny other duties as directed by the Head ChefThis is a hands-on, fast paced role that requires reliability, strong teamwork, and the ability to perform well under pressure while maintaining excellent food presentation and quality.About YouTo be successful, you will have:A relevant qualification equivalent to an AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (preferred)Experience working in a commercial kitchen environmentSound understanding of food safety and hygiene practicesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced team environmentWhy Join Us?
