This dynamic position plays a key part in supporting Asset Management's mission to deliver safe, efficient, and cost-effective service outcomes through a whole-of-lifecycle approach.In this role, you'll be responsible for the corrective and preventive maintenance of plumbing and hydraulic systems across domestic, commercial, and institutional settings, ensuring all fixtures, fittings, and equipment operate at peak performance.

please click here Child Safe Standards.For assistance with applying through the NSW Health Career Portal please click here.What you will bring to the roleCurrent trade qualifications with extensive experience in plumbing and gas fitting.Demonstrated knowledge of current WHS Act and relevant regulations as well as knowledge of current relevant Australian StandardsDemonstrated experience and ability to perform plumbing work and associated physical/manual labouring tasks in a safe manner including but not limited to the following; Performing scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures including back flow prevention devices, thermostatic mixing valves, hot and warm water systemsDemonstrated ability to be able to read plans, specifications and interpret drawings, estimate cost, time and materials of plumbing worksAvailability to be on an afterhours call roster and to attend works at the NBMLHD after hours when called uponExcellent communication skills (verbal and written) and must be able to take oral and written direction from the maintenance management and maintain a co-operative working relationship with management, other trades staff and hospital staff and maintain the Health code of conductCurrent Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travelBasic computer skills in Microsoft Office and computerised maintenance management systemsEmployment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable permanent resident or citizen of Australia has been identified and must not exceed the duration or conditions associated with the current visa.Need more information?
