****** - Cashier (Finance Officer)Department of FinanceCalvary Mater NewcastlePermanent Full-TimeEveryone is welcome at Calvary Mater Newcastle About the roleCalvary Mater Newcastle is seeking a motivated and detail-focused Cashier (Finance Officer) to join our Finance Department.This role supports the hospital's financial operations through cashiering services, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processing, and general finance and patient services administration.Working within a collaborative Finance and Patient Services team, the successful candidate will contribute to the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions and delivery of high-quality service to staff, patients and external stakeholders.This is an onsite role providing strong exposure to hospital finance operations and opportunities for professional developmentYour main duties will include:Receipt and process payments in accordance with NSW Health financial policiesPrepare and reconcile daily bankingAssist with Accounts Payable including invoice coding, data entry and supplier enquiriesAssist with Accounts Receivable including debtor invoicing and follow-upMaintain financial registers and documentationSupport month-end finance activities and reconciliationsProvide professional customer serviceContribute to continuous improvement initiativesSelection Criteria:Demonstrated experience in finance administration, including cashiering and accounts support functionsStrong attention to detail with a high level of accuracyProven ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlinesWell‐developed communication and customer service skillsProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently as well as collaboratively within a teamDesirable Criteria:• Demonstrated experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable.
• Demonstrated experience with TechnologyOne/Finance One or similar ERP.




• Demonstrated experience in healthcare or public sector.
