The focus is on ensuring facilitators, particularly Aboriginal staff, are supported to do this important and often emotionally demanding work safely and effectively.Working closely with the Senior Education Manager, Aboriginal Cultural Capability, and other Delivery Hub staff, the Aboriginal Cultural Safety Coach helps identify emerging wellbeing needs, supports reflective practice,
and contributes to the development and continuous improvement of culturally safe supervision and wellbeing frameworks within the Centre of Expertise.This role centres on care, guidance and cultural insight, helping to create the conditions for consistent, high‐quality and culturally safe education across the NSW Health system.HETI is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment which reflects the community we serve.

Relevant qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or related discipline, with current registration with a recognised professional body (e.g., Ahpra, AASW, PsyBA, ACA, PACFA) demonstrated experience in culturally safe practice and a commitment to Aboriginal-led approaches.
Experience in the healthcare sector is highly regarded.Demonstrated experience in providing culturally appropriate mentoring, supervision, and wellbeing support, particularly in emotionally demanding environments involving trauma, racism, or resistance.Proven ability to support Aboriginal staff and facilitators who carry significant colonial load, including facilitating debriefing, reflective practice, and early intervention strategies.Need more information?
