Sydney CBD Temporary 12 months - Full-Time (35 HPW) Legal Officer I-III, base salary ($79,322 - $134,458), plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role Provide support to the Consumer and Commercial Division of the Tribunal primarily through legal research, contribution to publication of decisions and case summary material and support to members in and out of the hearing room including assistance with technology.
What you'll do This role undertakes legal research to support the drafting of decisions by Members and the preparation of materials for Members' continuing legal education, while also contributing to the maintenance of the Member Reference Manual and assisting with updates to Rules, Guidelines and Practice Directions.

Provide in‐hearing room support to Members, including managing files and exhibits and assisting with hearing room technology.
Review decisions for publication and prepare case summaries for internal and external publications.
Contribute to high‐level written materials, including correspondence, policies, reports, submissions and briefing notes, and assist with responses to legislative and stakeholder input.
Support procedural and practice improvements through consultation with Members and broader Tribunal stakeholders.
Assist with the delivery of internal and external legal education sessions and undertake registry‐related administrative activities as required.

Strong written communication skills, producing clear and accurate legal and professional documents.
Effective organisational and time‐management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under tight timeframes.
Cooperative and professional approach, providing effective support to Members, stakeholders and Tribunal operations.
