The Exercise Physiologist will work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients/consumers and their support networks to provide specialised assessment, exercise prescription, health education and delivery of individual and group exercise services and lifestyle and behaviour modification programs, with the aim of improving physical and mental health, functional capacity and quality of life The position also involves the delivery of health promotion activities and supporting the senior exercise physiologist/allied health clinicians to supervise student clinical placements.

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven's major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500.
The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
