Whole of Gov EOI – must be a NSW Public Sector Employee Temporary full-time role up to 4 months with possibility of extension Based in Sydney CBD/Parramatta with flexible work arrangement options Clerk Grade *****, Salary relative to experience ($149,739 - $173,174) + super We are seeking an experienced Manager Procurement to provide strategic leadership and expert advice that enables high‐quality, compliant and value‐driven procurement outcomes.
This role plays a key part in supporting corporate objectives through scalable, responsive and innovative sourcing solutions.
About the role The Manager Procurement is responsible for managing a small team and providing expert strategic advice and delivery to ensure procurement planning, development and sourcing delivers scalable and responsive service outcomes that enable corporate goals to be achieved and compliance with government procurement requirements and standards.
You will be responsible for: Leading and improving procurement and contract management frameworks to ensure compliance and business alignment Providing expert procurement advice and contributing to major procurement evaluations Building internal capability through targeted training and guidance Managing key stakeholder relationships to optimise cost, service and quality outcomes Leading complex negotiations and resolving high‐risk contract issues Analysing procurement and supplier data to inform planning, governance and decision‐making Applying governance and risk frameworks to improve compliance and performance Leading and developing staff to drive high performance and continuous improvement Collaborating with specialist procurement teams to ensure consistent, coordinated approaches For more details about this role please click here to view the role description.
About you The ideal candidate will demonstrate: Must be a current NSW Public Sector employee Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in a relevant field Proven experience providing strategic procurement advice in complex,
multifaceted environments with competing priorities Strong knowledge of contemporary procurement frameworks, government requirements and use of applicable systems, governance and risk management practices, with the ability to apply them pragmatically Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with confidence advising senior leaders and working collaboratively across diverse teams Demonstrated capability leading high‐value, complex negotiations and managing challenging supplier relationships to achieve optimal outcomes Strong analytical skills, with experience using data and insights to inform planning, decision‐making and performance improvement Model and promote a high-performance culture, fostering professionalism and a team-oriented team environment About the NSW Reconstruction Authority The NSW Reconstruction Authority is a statutory corporation and executive agency of the Premier's Department, that will improve how NSW plans for disasters and ensure that we recover from them faster.
To reduce the severity and impacts of disasters, the NSW Reconstruction Authority will complete critical planning and preparation with communities, businesses and government.
When disaster does strike, we will get recovery started swiftly and coordinate reconstruction efforts across agencies, communities and other stakeholders.
