Accounts & Finance Opportunity
Immediate Start | 3-Month Temporary Assignment | Well-Known NT OrganisationAn exciting chance is available for an experienced Finance Officer to join a well-known Northern Territory organisation on a 3-month temporary contract.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure within a respected organisation while contributing to a busy and collaborative finance team.This varied role will see you supporting key finance functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, cash management, fixed assets, and month-end activities.Key Responsibilities
Process purchase orders, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.
Monitor creditor balances and ensure payments are made within agreed terms.
Follow up outstanding debtor balances and assist with collections.
Process employee reimbursements accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare weekly cash requirements schedules and monitor bank balances.
Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
Complete bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations.
Analyse and clear suspense accounts.
Prepare journals and assist with month-end processes.
Support audit preparation and compliance requirements.
Provide finance support across multiple sites and assist with project work as required.




To be successful, you will possess:
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to meet competing deadlines.
Well-developed communication and stakeholder management skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
A current NT Ochre Card, or the ability to obtain one.
Desirable Experience
Previous experience within a not-for-profit environment.
Experience using TechnologyOne or a similar ERP system.
