Position Summary :
The Customer Service / Front Desk team member is responsible for delivering exceptional in-store and phone-based customer service, supporting sales, and ensuring efficient order processing and inventory management.
This role is critical in creating a positive customer experience while supporting smooth day-to-day store operations.
Key Requirements :
Previous customer service experience (retail, trade or wholesale preferred)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced workplace
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of plumbing or building products
Experience in a trade, warehouse or wholesale environment
Job Responsibility :
Customer service and sales supportServe customers in-store, providing helpful advice on plumbing and hardware products
Build strong customer relationships and deliver a positive customer experience
Assist customers with product selection, pricing and order placement




CommunicationAnswer phone calls promptly and professionally
Respond to customer emails and enquiries in a timely manner
Follow up on quotes and outstanding customer enquiries
Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently
Process sales and prepare orders for collection or delivery
Coordinate with the warehouse and drivers to ensure timely dispatch
Stock and inventory controlReceive and check incoming stock against delivery documentation
Maintain accurate inventory levels and report discrepancies
Assist with stock organisation, replenishment and stocktakes
Store presentation and safetyMaintain a clean, organised and safe store environment
Ensure displays are presentable and products are easily accessible
Follow all WHS procedures and report hazards
Delivery support (occasional)Occasionally deliver orders to customers using a company vehicle
Ensure deliveries are completed safely and professionally
Support team members across the branch as required
Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture
Perform additional duties as reasonably directed
