We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established manufacturing operation based in Tamworth, NSW.
This is a permanent full-time opportunity offering excellent rates, weekly rotating shifts, and long-term career stability.
Working as part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring plant equipment operates safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise downtime
Maintain and replace bearings, gearboxes, pumps, conveyors, motors, chains and drive systems
Conduct routine inspections and equipment servicing
Assist with machinery installations and upgrades
Complete maintenance records and work orders accurately
Contribute to a safe and productive workplace

About You
Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter, Fitter & Turner or equivalent
Previous experience in manufacturing, FMCG, food processing, packaging or industrial environments
Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting abilities
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
Robust commitment to workplace safety
Ability to work rotating weekly shifts
