We are seeking an inspiring and experienced Head of Department - Humanities to lead a dynamic and dedicated team of educators in delivering an engaging, high-quality Humanities curriculum.
This leadership role is responsible for driving excellence in teaching and learning, leading curriculum planning and innovation, mentoring and supporting staff, and fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and academic achievement.
This is a temporary full-time position commencing 06 October **** until 11 December ****, unless otherwise determined.

About The Role
The Head of Department - Humanities leads curriculum, teaching and assessment across Humanities subjects,
ensuring high quality instruction, consistent planning and strong student outcomes.
The role includes coaching and developing staff, analysing student data to guide improvement strategies from The AIP, overseeing assessment and moderation processes.
The HOD coordinates resources, budgets, supports differentiated and evidence-based teaching approaches and contributes to whole school improvement priorities including reading and attendance.
The role requires strong Humanities teaching expertise, instructional leadership capabilities, data- informed decision making and effective staff coaching and organisational skills.
Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
Lead the school department to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vison focussed on providing quality outcomes for all students.
Embed socially just practices
Set high standards for student and staff performance
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
